Public Safety Headquarters

The City of San Antonio (CoSA) Public Safety Headquarters isa 6-story, 260,000 GSF building, with a nine-level, 650-space parking garage project for the City of San Antonio’s Capital Improvements Management Services Department. With intentions to improve public safety, CoSA united the City’s Police and Fire Departments in this new state-of-the-art Public Safety Headquarters facility. Consolidation of the departments allowed for the co-location of the City’s Public Safety Services, the opportunity for joint operations, shared common spaces and one-stop shopping for the public, while creating much improved faculties for fire and police administrative functions. The building includes new state of the art technology and significant building security measures, as well as being a Low Impact Development Project.
GarzaEMC provided civil engineering for this project. The site civil engineering services included site planning, grading, drainage, utility improvements, and significant coordination with multiple City departments, SAWS and CPS. This project also achieved LEED Silver Certification.
