Bowie High School

As part of the 2017 Bond Program, AISD built a new 422,688 GSF learning facility for Bowie High School. The new design-build campus sits on 66 acres of land and increased existing student capacity from 2,463 to 2,900. This state-of-the-art facility includes additions and renovations to athletic and fine arts facilities, as well as new parking structures and improvements to heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems. Students and staff received new and improved technology including computer labs, presentation systems, mobile computers for students and computer systems for teachers.

The Athletics building earned an Austin Energy Green Building 4-star and 3-star rating while the Fine Arts building earned an Austin Energy Green Building 3-star Rating.

GarzaEMC provided full design, site plan and civil engineering services, as well as permitting through the City of Austin.
