Municipal Complex Drainage Study
City of Buda, Buda, Texas
The City of Buda Municipal Buildings Complex houses the city hall, public library, and offices for public safety and city emergency services. GarzaEMC provided a hydrologic and hydraulic report as part of an overall feasibility study to determine a conservative peak flow rate for a flooding event. This was achieved by utilizing previous hydrologic studies, empirical observations, and original hydrologic modeling. Based on the peak flow, a hydraulic analysis of the conceptual channel section and culvert configuration was performed. GarzaEMC recommended an alternate proposed channel and culvert design in case the initial conceptual channel and culvert configuration were undersized to convey the 500-year peak flow.
