Parking Garage & UDP Expansion

Dell Children’s Medical Center, Austin, Texas

This project at Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) Campus involved the design and construction of a multi-level parking garage to accommodate approximately 900 vehicles, addressing the growing demand for patient, visitor, and staff parking. In addition to expanding parking capacity, modifications were made to the existing surface lot to enhance traffic flow and accessibility throughout the campus. To support the hospital’s critical infrastructure, the project also included modifications to the loading dock area to facilitate the expansion of the Utility Plant.

A key component of this expansion was the installation of a self-contained diesel generator, ensuring a reliable emergency power source to sustain vital hospital operations during outages. These improvements were essential in reinforcing the hospital’s ability to provide uninterrupted care to patients and their families. GarzaEMC provided full civil engineering services.
