The SAWS Basin Planning Consultant project was part of the $1.1 billion was part of the Sanitary Sewer Overflow and Reduction Program (SSORP) consisting of the evaluation of condition and capacity constraints within the east and west sewer shed basins of the SAWS collection system.
The GarzaEMC tasks included analysis of the East Basin Bulverde capacity constraint. GarzaEMC continued this analysis by reviewing the initial alternatives as well as developing additional alternatives. The existing segment consisted of approximately 10,000 LF of 18” sewer main. Four (4) alternatives were analyzed in detail during the 10% Technical Memorandum phase and one (1) alternative was recommended to move forward for 30% design.
