Civil & Family Courthouse

Travis County, Austin, Texas

The Travis County Commissioners Court built a new facility, located in the urban core of downtown Austin, to house the civil and family courts in one location. Totaling approximately 430,000 GSF and including a parking area offering more than 400 spaces, the court facility houses the staff and services needed to adequately serve County residents until 2035. Along with courtrooms, this 12-story tower includes a cafe, multiple offices, and a childcare center for employees.

GarzaEMC provided full site civil design and permitting. This project participated in the Great Streets program and off-site utility extensions were required.
